Liyang’s research addresses how to design a climate-resilient electric grid as we decarbonize our energy system. Specifically, she is interested in approaches that effectively incorporate climate data, account for uncertainty, and consider multiple objectives in electric grid planning. Her research also considers ways to increase the actionability of climate science in infrastructure planning.
